General NDT Services
We offer a comprehensive range of inspection and NDT services to help you achieve total plant integrity. Intico holds a wide range of NATA approvals as well as Australian Institute of Non-destructive Testing (AINDT) and PCN certifications. In addition to those described previously our services include:
- Radiographic Testing: of welds, castings and many other components to detect internal flaws and corrosion using high-energy X-ray and Gamma ray sources, including conventional as well as Flash Radiography and X-ray Fluoroscopy.
- Ultrasonic Testing: of plate, shafts, castings and welds to detect flaws and corrosion using the latest A-scan, B-scan and C-scan digital technology.
- Eddy Current Testing: of tubes and other components to detect flaws and for thickness measurement, material sorting and coating thickness measurement.
- Magnetic Particle Testing: of welds, gears, shafts, castings and steel structures to detect cracks and other defects.
- Liquid Penetrant Testing: of welds, castings, forgings, tanks etc to detect cracks, voids, porosity, leaks and other surface breaking defects.
- Visual Inspection: of any type of component to detect defects or check for correct assembly using fibre optic and CCD video remote visual inspection equipment.
- Electromagnetic Crack Detection: for the detection and measurement of cracks in ferrous shafts, gears, trunnions, welds and structures without the need for costly removal of lubricants or protective coatings.
- Holiday Testing: for detecting porosity (holidays), mechanical damage or other defects in protective coatings and wrappings on pipes, tanks and vessels.
