Risk Based Assessment
The Intico multi-disciplinary team of
engineers, metallurgists, NDT specialists and stress analysts, provide metallurgical and corrosion failure services for petrochemical plants. We utilize metallurgical analytical facilities that may include SEM, TEM, EDS or XRD; in addition to the more traditional optical methods of assessment. Intico metallurgists have particular diagnostic skills in industrial technology, to assist in trouble shooting the root causes of component damage or failure and determining fitness for purpose.
The specialist metallurgical diagnostic capability for plant includes:
- Metallurgical and Corrosion Failure Analysis.
- Fractographic Examination and Characterization of Fatigue Failure.
- Micro structural Characterization of plant for thermal degradation.
- Metallographic Residual Life Assessment of components subjected to high temperature creep.
- Identification of Corrosion Product.
- NDT Surface Replica Metallography of in-service plant.
